Using the basic principles associated with the EADIS frame work, JEVIC has created the ultimate in a paperless Electronic Yard Administrating System. Data entry is performed at the point of entry into a nominated facility with further protocols for additional data entry to be remotely inputted into a mainframe system.
Cargo (e.g. vehicles) is labeled with specially formatted barcodes and scanned with the latest in hand held mobile technology. Active IC tages for cargo positioning within a 5 meter radius and real time capabilities are also possible
